About TIFFL
TIFFL is a project by magnetised.info designed to stop you from having to type the same (damn) station name into the same (damn) input field 4 times a day.
- Instead of a simple "From" and "To" form, searching with TIFFL gives you:
- Any number of partially or totally pre-filled searches
- Saving you from having to keep typing station names over and over again.
- Station name auto-completion
- For super fast searches. Just type the first few letters then select the right station from a list.
- Journey timetables
- See at a glance when's the best time to leave.
- Search history
- Single click repetition of your most recent searches.
- Quick access to the advanced search options
- Choose a specific departure time or transport type instantly.
- Saved mobility options
- If you are unable to use stairs or lifts then enter this into TIFFL's options and it will remember this and add it to every search automatically.
- And more...
- This is just a start. TIFFL is young and growing. We plan to add new features as soon as they occur to us. If there's anything that you're dying for it to do, please just let us know.
Instead of waiting for Transport for London to release an API, we just went ahead and reverse engineered the Journey Planner searches. Turned out to be relatively simple, if a bit seat of the pants.
